I want to address you (transgender community) as beloved brothers and sisters but many might question me saying that we are not being treated as brothers and sisters. You should succeed in joining the mainstream and I pray to God that soon people should address you as brothers and sisters.

Remember: MPs who have spoken up on LGBTQIA+ rights or trans* rights are not automatically queer-friendly MPs. State of the QUnion is not meant to celebrate those who have spoken up for equal rights but is rather meant to be a platform for accountability to demand action from our elected representatives.
